Mountain Judicial Circuit Office Opens in Grand Style Atlanta, GA -
- The second office of Georgia's new state wide public
defender system officially opened its doors to the community
in grand style. Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Norman
S. Fletcher was on hand to officially induct the office
as a part of the State's new public defender system. Other
officials present who played a vital role in the establishment
of the office included BeBe Heiskell, Walker County Commissioner
and Don Oliver, county attorney. The Lookout Mountain Judicial
Circuit Public Defender Office, headed by David Dunn, will
be staffed with seven attorneys, administrative support
staff, an investigator and an office administrator. The
office will serve the four county area to include: Catoosa,
Chattooga, Dade and Walker counties. Dunn has plans to
open satellite offices in Catoosa & Chattooga
counties.
